Yangon – Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin – Hsipaw – Bagan - Mt.Popa – Heho - Pindaya - Inle - Yangon

Day 01 Arrival Yangon

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our guide & transfer to the hotel. Visit Yangon city and downtown area, Botataung Pagoda – combination of stupa & temple type, Chaukhtatgyi – a huge Reclining Buddha Image. Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda- its golden stupa is the 'heart ' of Myanmar over 2,500 years old. Overnight in Yangon.




Day 02 Fly to Mandalay. Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava (Inwa)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries, Kaungmudaw Pagoda - the magnificent dome remarkably seen from far away, silverware factory, etc. Continue to Ava (Inwa) and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery - built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower - 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery - well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 03 Excursion Mingun & sightseeing Mandalay

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along the Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Back to Mandalay and visit traditional handicraft workshops such as, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.


Day 04 Excursion Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo, 67 km, 1:30 hrs)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, former colonial hill station at 1040 meters above the sea level. We can observe the pine trees, eucalyptus and silver oak, coffee, vegetables and strawberries, which are grown on the slopes of the hills. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel & check in. Afternoon, visit Local market, Kandawgyi National Park (former Botanical Garden), Pwekaku waterfall are the highlights of Pyin Oo Lwin. Orientation by steed coach is an experience which should not be missed. Overnight in Pyin U Lwin.


 

Day 05 Train to Naung Cho & continue to Hsipaw

Early morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the railway station to take train to Naung Cho(04 hrs) by passing the the Gokteik Viaduct – The largest railway trestle in the world upon its completion in 1901, the highest bridge in Myanmar (102 meters high/ 37 meter span since 1901). Then we may get off at Naung Cho station after Gokteik Viaduct. Contine to Hsiapw by car (2 hrs). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel & check in. Hsipaw was once a Shan royal city. Local historians claim that 19th-century prince Sao So Chae was knighted by Queen Victoria while the last sawba (Shan prince), Sao Kya Seng, became the tragic hero of a book by his Austrian wife. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel & check in. Overnight in Hsipaw.
 

Day 06 Hsipaw (Trekking)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we may enjoy for trekking (4 hrs walking round trip) & visit to Shan farmer’s villages. On the way, we may enjoy the panoramic scenery of paddy, the beauty of mountain landscape with its seasonal crops, river, and living style of Shan villages. At the villages, we may see cottage industry of house wife such as hand fan, basket with weaving bamboo, cheroot rolling. Picnic lunch is serving on the way. And then the traditional bungalow at river side is a nice place to relax. After relax, take the boat ride upstream river for nice scenery with mountain, valley, fruit plantations along the river. Pass through the plantations of pineapple, papaya, orange which are widely grown along the way. And boat proceed to river confluence and then we may stop visit to Shan village which has typical house with a small charming garden. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Hsipaw.

Day 07 Hsipaw – Mandalay

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Mandalay. Transfer to the hotel & leisure on your own. Overnight in Mandalay.


Day 08 Boat to Bagan

Early morning transfer to the jetty and take the boat (tourist class) to Bagan. Today you may have a chance to explore the beauty of majestic Ayeyarwaddy River and its river life. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel & check in. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 09 Sightseeing Bagan

After breakfast at the hotel, visit colorful morning market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the golden stupa is the glory of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple - the best mural paintings of 11th century, Htilominlo Temple – noted for its pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung Monastery – ancient wooden monastery, Ananda Temple - an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross, lacquer ware workshop - the unique of Bagan. After morning visit in Bagan, refreshment at the hotel. Late afternoon, visit Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, Dhamayangyi Temple - the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple - the 12th century temple, etc. Evening, you may enjoy the sunset from the top of the temple. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 10 Excursion Mt. Popa (50 MN/ 1:30 hrs)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt. Popa - an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area and the cottage industry such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop at several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach the top of Mt. Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes, the panoramic view of extinct volcano and plain to Bagan. After visit, come down and back to Bagan. Finally, take the boat ride on mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time. Overnight in Bagan.
 

Day 11 Fly to Heho. Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours) & visit. Continue to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. visit the Pindaya Caves - houses 8094 Buddha Images & umbrella workshop at the village. Drive to Inle & Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake.

 

Day 12 Excursion Inle

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake. Visit to the local market which held every 5 days in their correspondent village, Lotus - petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda - the most venerable pagoda on the lake. Afternoon, continue to visit to Inn Dein village and Shwe Inn Dein pagoda complex, Nga Phechaung monastery - jumping cats’ monastery, floating garden & floating villages, etc. Overnight in Inle Lake.


 

Day 13 Flight to Yangon & departure

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, Visit Bogyoke market [except on Monday] & china town. Evening transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure flight.
